Private front porch swings at Eden House

Normally, I prefer oceanfront properties, but could not resist the historic, charming, and intimate Eden House in Key West, Florida. How could anyone with its private front-porch swings and hammocks? This boutique hotel offers a variety of room styles from a private room to an apartment to a two-story loft to two-bedroom units. We chose one of the Eden House’s roomy apartments with a separate bedroom.

Full disclosure: I’m hammock-challenged…took me a couple of tries but finally got the hang of it at the Eden House. This hammock was right outside our front door.

Our separate bedroom at the Eden House in Key West, Florida was very comfortable. As you’ll see in the pic, there is a window air conditioner unit. I’m not a fan (no pun intended) of having air blown right on me, but the ceiling fan cooled off our room sufficiently. Although we did have to turn the AC unit on our last night as a very lively gecko outside our unit was working on his mating call. They are so loud!

Our one-bedroom suite at Eden House in Key West came with one bathroom with a shower unit (no bathtub, which was fine with us).

No shortage on Key West charm at the Eden House – the gazebo is located right next to the pool.
